Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids
Products Description: Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are widely used in Flow Control, Temperature Control, Electronic Control and Pressure Control Technologies & Instruments. They are particularly effective for use in instruments and gauges that will operate at extreme temperatures and high pressures.
Low Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids
Low Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are clear, colorless, and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils that range in viscosities from 1.5cSt to 20cSt (centistokes) @ 25°C. They are characterized by their low viscosities, low pour points, good heat capacity, wide service temperature range, stability at extremely low temperature, low viscosity‐to‐temperature coefficients (viscosity changes little even at extremely low temperatures), hydrophobic nature, high dielectric, strength Newtonian behavior under shear, low weight (lighter than water), stability under high pressure, and RI values ranging from 1.3874 to 1.4000.
PSF‐1.5cSt, PSF‐2cSt and PSF‐5cSt Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are widely used as heat transfer mediums in freeze drying applications.
Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are also widely used Flow Control, Temperature Control, Electronic Control and Pressure Control Technologies. They are particularly effective for use in instruments, sensors and gauges that will operate at extremely low temperatures (pour points as low as ‐100°C).
Medium Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids
Medium Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are clear, colorless, and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils that range in viscosities from 20cSt to 100cSt (centistokes) @ 25°C. They are characterized by their low viscosities, good heat capacity, low pour points, wide service temperature range, high flash points, stability at both high and low temperatures, low vapor pressure, low thermal expansion at elevated temps, low viscosity change at temperature (low VTC), hydrophobic nature, high dielectric, strength Newtonian behavior under shear, stability under high pressure, and RI values ranging from 1.4009 to 1.4030.
Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are widely used in Flow Control, Temperature Control, Electronic Control and Pressure Control Technologies & Instruments. They are particularly effective for use in instruments and gauges that will operate at extreme temperatures and high pressure.
High Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids
High Temperature Silicone Heat Transfer Fluids are clear, colorless, and odorless Phenyl‐based Silicone Oils. They are formulated for high temperature applications and have a service temperature range of 25°C to 300°C (closed system).
DPDM‐400 and PM‐125 are characterized by their high flash points, long‐term stability at high temps, high heat capacity, hydrophobic nature, high dielectric strength, low vapor pressure, low thermal expansion, stabilityunder high pressure, and high RI values.
They possess high VTC values (viscosity‐to‐temperature coefficients). When heated, their viscosity will lower very quickly making them easy to pump and circulate in high temperature baths / high temperature systems. However, they are not recommended for cold temperature as their viscosity will conversely thicken very quickly.
If a high temperature fluid that can also operate efficiently at low temperature is needed, we offer the HT‐110 High Temperature Silicone Fluid.
