Clearco Zinc Rich Primer
90% Zinc in Dry Film – Equal to Hot Dip
Use: Clearco Zinc Rich Primer is a high quality Liquid Zinc Coating formulated for touch up of damaged or weathered galvanized surfaces. It provides long-lasting protection against corrosion in the most hostile salt-water environments.
Unlike paint, it will not allow for rust to creep underneath the surface. Clearco Zinc Rich Primer is an excellent alternative to Hot Dip Galvanize. It does not require any heat and can be applied on-site. After being applied, via brush, roller or sprayer, Zinc Rich Primer provides the highest level of galvanic protection. The film of Zinc Rich Primer is conductive. It will not allow steel to corrode, even when the surface is scratched.
If surface is scratched or dented, zinc in the surrounding area will provide further galvanic protection preventing corrosion. ZRP can be used without a topcoat as well as a high performance primer with a variety of topcoats (see View Specs).
Product Equivalent: Clearco Zinc Rich Primer is an excellent alternative to Hot Dip Galvanize due to the fact that it does not require the heat of Hot Dip Galvanize (850∞F). Clearco Zinc Rich Primer is done at ambient temperature; there is no heat required and no chance of it warping or embrittling thinner gauge metals. Applications are done on-site with no expensive freight costs to ship parts to a Hot Dip Galvanizer.

It is formulated for touch up of damaged or weathered galvanized surfaces. Silver Zinc Primer provides long-lasting protection against corrosion in the most hostile salt-water environments.
Some of the primary uses include touch-up and repair of galvanized fences, gates, trailers and all inorganic zinc coatings and galvanized metal. Unlike paint, it will not allow for rust to creep underneath the surface. Its bright appearance serves as both a primer and topcoat. A coating of silver paint is not necessitated saving time and money.
